Mrs. Brinegar

Music Teacher

  • B.A. Oral Roberts University – International Community Development

Mrs. Brinegar hails from Colorado but has recently relocated from southern New Mexico to be a part of the TCA family. While living in New Mexico, she taught at a private Christian, classical school for 14 years. Mrs. Brinegar has always been very passionate about quality education, and she believes that classical education offers the tools to become a well-educated human being.

Mrs. Brinegar is the proud mother of 5 incredible children, two of whom are in college. She taught American & British Literature, Latin, IEW (writing), and Spanish, but the subject she most enjoys teaching is music. Mrs. Brinegar has been a choir director at several churches she has attended and she loves singing in choirs herself.

When her middle child was a baby, Mrs. Brinegar became a licensed Kindermusic Educator. In this she discovered her love of bringing music to children’s lives. She taught music to students as young as 6 weeks, and as old as 18 years. Mrs. Brinegar also dearly loves string orchestra and helped to teach orchestra in New Mexico for the past 5 years. She is also Orff-Schulwerk Level 1 trained (a well-respected music education program). Mrs. Brinegar believes that music is the language of the soul, and as such it has incredible transformative power in the lives of those who participate in it.
