Welcome back! I hope that your time with family last week was joyful and edifying. Ours certainly was. We were able to make the drive to Wisconsin to spend time with family. It was a joy to spend time with our parents. Both my parents and Nicole’s parents live in Wisconsin within 40 minutes of each other. I had the great joy of watching the Milwaukee Brewers win the National League Pennant, defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers in four games. My father is a die-hard Brewer fan, so it was fun to be able to watch it with him. We had a great trip. Nevertheless, it is good to be back in the building.

Picture day is this Friday. Please make sure your students come to school in their uniform and are ready for pictures.

I hope you are ready for the Golf Tournament on October 26th. The Golf Tournament will benefit our athletic department. I am grateful Mr. Hodges excellent work putting the tournament together.

On November 12th we will have a prospective parent night at the school. This will be a good opportunity for new families who are considering joining us in the coming year to learn about our school and to meet administrators and teachers.

As you will see when you come on campus, the walls to the gym have been erected. The beginning of the storm shelter has been completed and it is a joy to behold!

“Since we ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of Heaven, can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained: And since the preservation of the sacred fire of liberty, and the destiny of the Republican model of Government, are justly considered as deeply, perhaps as finally staked, on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people.”

George Washington’s Inaugural Address 1789

Let us continue to persevere in our pursuit of passing on the best of Western Tradition in an effort to preserve the “sacred fire of liberty and the destiny of the Republican model of government.” And let us always strive to be of one heart and roar with one voice! Go Lionhearts!
