First Grade Teacher
My name is Tatyana Schmidt. This is my 1st year as a teacher at TCA. I graduated from high-school in Portland, Oregon in 2009 and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2010 to volunteer at my church. I met my husband Joe at the church and we got married in 2013. We have 2 children that attend TCA: Anastasia is 10 and Jonah is 8. I homeschooled them with the Abeka curriculum up until last year. I’ve been a substitute teacher here at TCA, am part of the school’s PTC and attended the New Teacher Track at Hillsdale College this summer. I love to teach and am looking forward to meeting your kids!
Fun Facts
I speak Russian fluently. I play the piano and love to go on walks. We have 3 year old mini goldendoodle named Asher. I ran cross country and track in high school and was the photo editor in our school newspaper called The Constitution.
