Mr. Cox was born and raised in Tulsa, and graduated from Mingo Valley Christian School. He grew up playing as many sports as he could, ranging from baseball, soccer, football, and basketball, and has a passion for team sports. After graduating from OSU, Mr. Cox began working with the sports industry for his local professional soccer team, FC Tulsa. While working in the sports industry, he had the opportunity to coach middle school soccer.

Mr. Cox has a strong passion for sports and for the hearts of kids. He believes athletics and physical activity is one of the few avenues in life where you are able to be pushed physically, emotionally, and mentally, and can grow stronger and deeper as a person.

When he is not teaching, Mr. Cox enjoys watching movies, working out with his brother, volunteering with the youth group at his church, and playing pickup basketball and soccer. He recently became an uncle and finds great joy in spending time with his nephew and family.
