Maisha Parkar is a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher at Tulsa Classical Academy, where she brings more than ten years of professional experience in supporting diverse learners. With a strong commitment to student growth, she strives to create an inclusive, structured, and nurturing learning environment that empowers every child to reach their fullest potential.
Ms. Parkar earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development from California State University, Fresno. She also holds a teaching certification in Family and Consumer Sciences, which strengthens her ability to understand and support the academic, social, and developmental needs of her students.
Her background equips her with a holistic approach to education—one that focuses not only on academics but also on character formation and life readiness.
Before joining Tulsa Classical Academy, Ms. Parkar founded and operated the Parkar Learning Center, a successful tutoring program she led for over 11 years.
Through this venture, she provided personalized academic support to students across various grade levels, helping them build confidence, improve performance, and develop a lifelong love for learning.
Her experience as an entrepreneur and educator continues to inform her teaching philosophy and her belief in the power of individualized instruction.
Beyond her professional work, Ms. Parkar is a proud mother of four—Zahra, Jamil, Yasmin, and Naila—who inspire her commitment to education and family-centered values.
She enjoys a range of hobbies, including dancing, swimming, reading, and exploring arcades. Her adventurous spirit extends to her love of international travel, especially to African countries such as Ghana and Tanzania, where she enjoys learning about new cultures and communities.
