"The most glorious exploits do not always furnish us with the clearest discoveries of virtue or vice in men; sometimes a matter of less moment, an expression or a jest, informs us better of their characters and inclinations, than the most famous sieges, the greatest armaments, or the bloodiest battles whatsoever."

Plutarch, Life of Alexander

Mr. Mosier

Sixth Grade Teacher

  • B.A. Political Science
  • M.A. Education

Mr. Mosier grew up in the Tulsa area, where he was homeschooled alongside his four siblings before attending Owasso Highschool. After graduating he attended the University of Arkansas, and there he met his wife, Samantha, with whom he has lived in various places about the country. They now have two beautiful young children and are excited to be coming home to Tulsa. Mr. Mosier has spent the last six years teaching with the Iditarod Area School District. It was there that he first encountered classical education through some friends who were educating their seven children at home using a classical approach. He read further into the matter- the works of Dorothy Sayers and David Hicks proving the most enlightening- and then began to incorporate classical techniques in his own classroom, to great results. Mr. Mosier enjoys cooking, hunting, fishing, snowmachining, and reading old books. He is very happy to be joining Tulsa Classical Academy this year, and is particularly excited to be reading Homer with his students.
