Mrs. Woods comes to TCA after recently teaching Latin and Dialectic History while serving as the school librarian at a private Classical School in Tulsa. Before this, she taught years of fifth grade and a combined fourth/fifth grade. An avid bibliophile, Mrs. Woods dove into her passion for sharing good, true, and beautiful literature while home-educating her now five adult children. Classical pedagogy was fostered in her family as she led and participated in various educational cooperatives, then tutored at Classical Conversations. It is her primary enthusiasm for language and cultures that led her into language study which includes French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, and later, Latin.

When not reading books or learning about history, Mrs. Woods enjoys all sorts of creative crafts. Refinishing furniture, creating with her Cricut, sewing, painting, gardening, and enjoying time with her grandchildren are her favorite activities.
