  • B.A English literature, East Central University

  • M.A. Teaching English as a Second Language, Oklahoma State University

  • Graduate Certificate in Effective Elementary Education, Oklahoma State University

Ms. Jared is a second grade teacher for Tulsa Classical Academy. She homeschooled her four children for many years, most of the time through a university-model classical Christian school in Texas, tutoring the children at home half of the time. More recently, she worked as a teaching assistant for a second grade classroom in the Tulsa Public School system. Ms. Jared loves the natural world and has been known to cross several lanes of traffic to show her kids a beautiful tree or stop to look at a cloud formation. She hopes to instill the same sense of wonder in the the students she teaches at TCA.

Ms. Jared loves hiking with her family, gardening, reading, and being active in her church. Although born in Oklahoma, she spent 16 years in Texas, moving back to Tulsa three years ago, and still loves all things Texan. An avid black tea drinker and a fan of C.S. Lewis and British literature in general, she dreams of making a pilgrimage to England some day.
